Dave is a CIPFA-qualified chartered accountant with over a decade of experience in external audit at Grant Thornton, primarily focusing on the public sector and not-for-profit organizations, but with a wide remit also covering entities in the private and specialist sectors, such as pension schemes. Now part of Mercia’s manuals team, Dave provides expert guidance on audit methodology and other technical matters, supporting clients with complex queries and leveraging a deep understanding of financial reporting and regulatory frameworks to deliver clear, practical advice.

Based in north Shropshire with his wife, two children and two demanding cats, Dave is a long suffering Shrewsbury Town fan who loves travel, cooking and reading – though most of his time is spent refereeing domestic disputes (both human and feline).
