Increasingly firms are embracing paperless assignment technology as a means to increase efficiency in their audit work. We have believed in this concept for a long time and work closely with highly respected partners who have developed truly paperless audit systems.

We believe these approaches offer firms a choice of platforms from which to use the Mercia audit methodology.

Our paperless content partners

• Since 2003 'Caseware Audit' and now 'Caseware AuditAdvanced' has been available from Caseware UK Limited (exclusive UK distributors of Caseware software). The 'Caseware Audit' system was developed using the Mercia audit methodology. In 2018 CaseWare launched a new cloud-based Smart Engagement platform.
• In 2007 a Mercia version of the CCH Audit Automation software was developed, building on the platform of the well known ProAudit software.
• In 2013, IRIS launched IRIS OpenAudit, the UK's first cloud based financial audit solution based on the Mercia audit methodology. In 2016 this became MyWorkpapers | Audit and continues as a cloud based audit solution using the Mercia audit methodology.
• In 2019, Silverfin created standardised working papers based on the Mercia methodology to support accounts production and non-audit reporting. Silverfin’s cloud based platform directly links to the bookkeeping system and aims to cut the time taken to reconcile and review each client file.
