This topical session considers both the latest specific tax related COVID-19 support measures and other tax reliefs within the UK tax system which may assist clients dealing with the impact of the pandemic.

What tax reliefs should I be revisiting for individual clients?

Advising employers
This will consider key current issues arising from the continuing Job Retention Scheme (JRS). This is critical knowledge for all accountants and advisers who have clients who are employers, to ensure that they can assist clients through the maze to avoid penalties. Any new employer support scheme measures will be covered in what is a dynamic area of change.
Clients will also need to get to grips with redundancies and the tax and NIC treatment of termination payments. A review of these rules will be included.
